Cade Cooper grew up in Lehi, Utah and attended his senior year at Timpview H.S. Cade comes from a family of 5 brothers and one sister. Cade received several awards in athletics including All-state and all-Region as well as region champions his senior year. Cade was a basketball player as well as football, but his senior year chose to concentrate on football. In the interview Cade comes across confident, but not cocky. He is a team player, but he is also a leader and that is apparent with his answers and his demeanor. According to Coach Steve Coburn:
"Cade commands respect with his hard work, weight room and running and his ethics. He is stronger from the off season. He has worked harder since being named the starter and it shows. Cade understands what we're trying to do offensively and as a team. He's the kind of player that can make plays to get other plays. He won't force something that's not there so he can have another shot at it later. He's like having another coach on the field. Cade is a positive image for the team and the community. " Below is an interview with Cade: Snow: Why did you choose to come to Snow College? Cade: I wanted an opportunity to play and make an impact. I think this program fits me. It gives me a chance to throw the ball and make decisions on the field that I might not get at a school that is one dimensional. Snow: What do you feel is your best strength? Cade: The ability to read the defense and make adjustments. I think I can also make quick decisions on when to put some touch on the ball or when it needs to have some zip to it to get to the receivers and give them the best chance to make the catch. Snow: What do you think is the strongest part of the snow offense? Cade:We have a really solid offensive line. We're balanced and that's good too, but it all starts up front and we have a great line that is deep too. We just try to take what the defense gives us and I think we can do that because we are so balanced. We can run or pass and that makes us dangerous. We have so many weapons. I have the confidence that I can throw it to any of the running backs, tight ends or receivers and they will make the catch. That's important as a quarterback to know you can count on any of these guys. Snow: What's your goal this year and in the future? Cade: I just want to keep getting better, both individually and as a team. I think we can win more games and finish as National Champions. Snow: Where do you see yourself next year? Cade: I know I can play Div. I. I'd like to go to a solid program and be given the opportunity to compete.
