NATIONALLY IN PRESEASON POLL

EPHRAIM,
Utah—July 18, 2007-—The
Snow College football team will start this season right where it left
off, ranked No. 2 in the nation.
The National Junior College Athletic Association/JCFootball.com poll
has only Pearl River Community College ahead of the Badgers.
Snow finished last year ranked No. 2 with an 11-1 overall record
including the Western States Football League title and a 26-21 victory
over then No. 13 Coffeyville Community College (Kan.) in the 2006
Zion Bank Top of the Mountains Bowl.
Snow will return seven starters from last year’s team including
two preseason first team NJCAA All-Americans: receiver Adam Frandsen
and punter Jeff Wright.
Four WSFL teams are among the preseason top 25.
The Badgers open their season Aug. 25 at Air Force Junior Varsity.
Snow’s first home game is against the Australian National Team
Sept. 1.
Snow College, founded in 1888, serves
approximately 3,000 students at its Ephraim campus. The college provides
general education and applied technology programs leading to Associate
of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and Associate
of Pre-Engineering degrees, and certificates of completion in a number
of occupational areas. Once
owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Snow College
became a state college in 1932.
