SNOW’S TEMPO TOO MUCH FOR CNCC
by Tyler Hughes

Badgers Win Aggressively - Win 114-69

Looking to build on their impressive win the night prior, Snow College played an up-tempo game that Colorado Northwestern could not handle. Their aggressive play resulted in a 114-69 victory.

From the start of the game, the Badgers consistently pushed the ball up the floor at every opportunity as the Spartans transition defense was completely overmatched. Snow was able to get into a numbers advantage on the break that led to numerous scoring opportunities. Of Snow’s 49 1st half points, 18 came on fast breaks which helped push their halftime lead to 19.

In the 2nd half Snow completely blew away Colorado Northwestern as they opened the half on a 30-6 scoring run. The scoring happened in every which way as every player that suited for Snow College Saturday placed points on the board. Seven Badgers reached double figures with Cris Hoopes leading the way with 15. Both Geoff Payne and John Clifford reached a double double on the night. Payne had 11 points and 10 rebounds while Clifford scored 12 and collected 15 rebounds.

Snow improved to 14-6 overall and 6-4 in conference play as they move ahead to a big weekend of basketball versus Salt Lake Community College. The Badgers host the Bruins on Friday and Saturday at home with the tip-off set for 7:30 PM for both games.
