SALT LAKE METRO by Greg Dart December Means Travel For Snow Basketball Squad EPHRAIM - The Snow College men’s basketball team sailed to the century mark and a 100-83 win over Salt Lake Metro Tuesday in Ephraim. Rene Farias led the Badgers with 19 points and 10 assists, helping Snow shoot 70 percent from the field. “We are shooting the ball really well,” said first-year head coach Michael Ostlund, whose team has averaged over 65 percent from the field over the last three games. “If we can shoot like that, we will be successful.” Christian Wouden added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Badgers. In all, five Badgers scored in double figures in the game. Snow has had four different leading scorers in its first six games With the win, the Badgers improved to 3-3 on the season. The team begins a month-long road trip Nov. 29 at the North Idaho Tournament in Coeur d’Alene. Ostlund said although the road trips will be tough, most games are on neutral courts and the experience will be good for his young squad. The Badgers dress nine freshmen and only three sophomores. “We are a young team, but guys are buying into what we’re
trying to do,” Ostlund said.
