SNOW SPLITS TOURNEY GAMES,
ENTERS BREAK 7-4 by Greg Dart Badger Men Have Won Six Of Seven After 1-3 Start EPHRAIM The Snow College mens basketball team is getting some much needed rest after three road tournaments in the last month. Snow dropped to 6-3 Dec. 7 with a nine-point loss to Trinidad State at the Trinidad Tournament. We had a good team on their home court, and it was a big uphill battle, said head coach Michael Ostlund. We needed some breaks down the stretch, but it seemed every time we would tie it or take the lead, something would bounce their way. Snow bounced back the next night, besting Otero College 87-77. Rory Patterson led the Badgers with 18 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 blocks. Brady Hurst added 17 points and Ryan Brimley chipped in 14. Donnie Lao finished with 10 assists. I felt like our road-weariness started to show last week in practice, but our guys did a great job of really playing hard in the games, said head coach Michael Ostlund. I know they are tired, but they never let it show. Ostlund said although the team is young, they are playing good basketball. We are building very strong character and getting mentally tougher
every game, he said.
