Men's Basketball Signees 2008
Are you ready!
Second year head coach Michael Ostlund has announced the Badgers’ 2008 recruiting class. With 5 returning players that all saw considerable action last season, there is a solid foundation to build on. “Our returning nucleus has a lot of experience, and are high quality people,” Coach Ostlund said.
Led by All-Region selections Rory Patterson (6’5 wing from Logan, Utah) and Ryan Brimley (6’3 wing from Sandy, Utah) there are returning starters at every position except center. Add point guard Donnie Lao (Midvale, Utah), and post players David Slezak (Slovakia) and Everton de Araujo (Brazil) and the returning class is very solid.
The recruiting class features a combination of athletic, scoring guards, versatile post players, and a couple of 6’9 centers to help in the middle. “We have a good mix of freshmen coming right out of high school, and a couple kids coming back of LDS missions,” added Ostlund. “Overall, I really like the mix of talent and they are all high character kids.”
