SNOW BASKETBALL CONTINUES FANTASTIC START

The Snow College Men's basketball team continues it's solid play winning twice over the weekend at the Salt Lake Classic. Beating Southwest Academy 103-53 Friday and Salt Lake Metro 80-67 on Saturday. Snow has now won eight consecutive games and is 10-1 for the first time since the 2002-03 season.

On Friday Snow dominated from start to finish as the Badgers shot 50 percent from the field and had five players in double figures while holding Southwest Academy to just 29 percent. Snow also out-rebounded Southwest Academy 59-27, including 25 boards on the offensive end.

Freshman Riley Crosbie from Mountain Crest High School came off the bench and grabbed 20 rebound, ten each on the offensive and defensive boards while also scoring 12 points.

Jordan Rex led the Badgers with 17 points on six of eight shooting from the field. Donnie Lao chipped in with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and no turnovers. Sophomore Ryan Brimley hit four three-point shots and finished with 14 points. Freshman Melvin Haynes (11), and David Slezak (10).

On Saturday the Badgers connected on 13-31 three-point shots (42 percent) en-route to a 80-67.

Ryan Brimley continued his torrid 3-point barrage nailing six threes and 22 points. Sophomores Donnie Lao and Rory Patterson added 11, and Jordan Wood 10.

"We were a little sluggish throughout the game," said Coach Michael Ostlund. "We found a way to continue to push through and come out on top."

Snow next travels to Treasure Valley (Ontario, OR) this Saturday before going into the Christmas break. The Badgers next home contest will be Saturday, December 30 against Casper College.
