SNOW BADGERS HEAD TO THE BREAK WITH 11-1 RECORD
by Kevin White Win For The 9th Consecutive Time The red-hot Snow College Men’s basketball team heads to the Holiday break with an 11-1 record after defeating Treasure Valley Community College (TVCC) 84-62 in Ontario Saturday night. The Badgers forced 22 turnovers in the first half alone and led 53-17 at the break and never looked back. “I was happy to see us come out so focused,” said Coach Michael Ostlund. “I was afraid we could have come out flat after a long road trip and with nothing between this game and the break. We battled and played as well defensively in the first half as we have all season.” Sophomore point guard Donnie Lao lead the Badgers with 18 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists. “Donnie has been great for us all season long,” said Ostlund. “He came back this season determined and ready to compete. He has been a tremendous leader on and off the court.” Freshman Riley Crosbie continued to impress finishing with six points, seven rebounds, and six steals in 21 minutes. “He may get a triple-double if I can learn to find him more minutes,” Ostlund said of Crosbie. “Every team needs a “glue guy”, someone who is unafraid to do the dirty work and Riley fits that bill perfectly.” Ryan Brimley continued to stroke it from distance shooting 4-9 and finishing with 14 points. Rory Patterson and Jordan Wood pitched in with nine points each and all 12 Badger players scored. The win (Snow’s ninth in a row) keeps them moving toward the end of pre-season which culminates with a home game against Casper College on December 30 and two road games at Central and Western Wyoming January 2-3. The games can be heard locally on KMTI-Am 650 and right here on SnowBadgers.com.
