BADGERS LOSE FIRST GAME
by Brad Barton

A Slow Start Too Much

A slow start to the first half was too much for the Badgers to overcome as
they dropped their first game in Scenic West Athletic Conference play to the
Golden eagles of Southern Idaho 95-83.

Brandon Sholly tried to keep the Badgers close in the first half as he hit
two three-pointers and had ten of his team high 22 points in the first half.
It wasn't enough as Snow College trailed by 18 early in the game and still
trailed by 18 at the half.

"We made a run and I thought we were on the right track," said Head Coach
Jon Judkins. "But we couldn't keep the momentum and we played their game
and not our own."

The Badgers outscored CSI in the second half, but the first half deficit was
too much to overcome. Snow College turned around their poor first half
shooting and the defense made it more difficult for the Golden Eagles.

Sholly came off the bench to finish with 22 points, Sophomore transfer
Daniel Henry added 16 points and eight rebounds. Conner Nielson also came
off the bench and had 14 points while Ben Murdoch chipped in eleven points
in the Badger effort.

Snow College will again host Golden eagles on Thursday of this week, but
they will be the College of Eastern Utah Golden Eagles. Saturday the
Badgers will be on the road to St. George to take on the Rebels.
