FOOTBALL SENDS SEVEN TO FOUR-YEAR INSTITUTIONS

Ah You Signs with Oklahoma
EPHRAIM,
Utah—January 26, 2005—Snow College
today announced that seven players from the 2004 football team will
sign letters of intent on Wednesday, February 2. Headlining the list
is C.J. Ah You who will attend Oklahoma next season. Ah You is an
All-Western States Football League first-team selection at defensive
end this season. He transferred to Snow from Brigham Young University.
This
marks the second season in a row that Snow has placed a player among
the nation’s elite programs. Last year, Deuce Lutui, an All American
offensive tackle at Snow, signed with the University of Southern California.
Lutui started for the national champion Trojans this season. There
were 34 former Badgers on four-year rosters in 2004.
Other
players heading for four-year institutions include Ty Sparrow (Weber
HS) to Weber State, Kevin Tallman and Brett Johanson to Southern Utah,
William Liebert to Idaho State, D.J. Wade (Weber HS) to Northern Arizona
and Deondrick Nunez to Friends University. In addition, Derek Beardall
(American Fork HS) and Curren Christensen (Manti HS) have announced
that they’ll walk on at the University of Utah. Chase Boyer (Fremont
HS), brother to current NFL player Brant Boyer, will walk on at Utah
State.

Snow
College finished the 2004 season 7-4 and fourteenth in the NJCAA Top
20 rankings. The season culminated with a 45-7 defeat of Rochester
Community College, ranked eleventh at the time, in the first annual
Zions Bank Top of the Mountains Bowl.

College, founded in 1888, serves approximately 3,000 students at its
Ephraim campus. The college provides general education and applied
technology programs leading to Associate of Arts, Associate of Science,
Associate of Applied Science and Associate of Pre-Engineering degrees,
and certificates of completion in a number of occupational areas.
Once owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints,
Snow College became a state college in 1932.
