Future Hopes For Softball Team
Snow College Softball team has reason to look towards the future with hope bright hope at winning region and going on to nationals. The student-athlete's they have signed for the following two years gives them no doubt about the high hopes. Many of these athletes hold several records for their high schools as well as the state.
Head Coach Chad Larsen said, "We are very pleased with what we have coming for the future years and building our goal of a dynasty." The ten players are from across the stat and out of state. Jaclyn Cooley from Murray will help lead the pitching with fellow signees Nicole Johnson from Bear River and Shelby Earl from North Sanpete. Filling in key loses from this year's infield will be Ailee Carter from Riverton, Rachel Hunsaker from Box Elder, Sarah Basinger from Syracuse, Kim Knudsen from Bear River, and Alesha Ellis from Arizona. Adding to a bunch of talent in the outfield will be Taleas Marble from Box Elder, and Mackenzie Larson from Pleasant Grove.
Snow College assistant coach Andrea Ellis says, "I have been here for ten years, have coached for eight and played for two, and this is the best crop of talent Snow has seen since I have been here. It's been a year where we have been flooded with calls and emails with potential athletes. It's a great feeling."
The Lady Badgers will step foot on Campus in August and will be joined by their teammates already here, working for their goal of a region championship.
