VOLLEYBALL TEAM DROPS TWO

Badgers Fought Hard

This past Friday our Badger volleyball team took on NIC, the number one ranked team in the nation.  Our Badgers fought hard and did very well. Talking with Coach Brian Crawford he stated

“We played well the first two games and played them point for point. In the third game we lost our mental focus and fell behind.” Coach Crawford considered Taylor Mealy to be one of his top players Friday night. “Taylor had a good game, she was solid, and tries hard.” , said Coach Crawford.
 
On Saturday, October 10, our volleyball team took on College of Southern Idaho. CSI is currently ranked number 2 in the nation right behind NIC. “Our girls started the game out slow…”stated Coach Crawford.

The first set ending with the score 15-25. However our Badgers started picking up in the final two games up with the final two sets ending with scores of 20-25 and 23-25. Coach Crawford said “In this game we had too many unforced errors.” Katherine Kendall was the top player this game.

Coach Crawford stated “At the beginning of the season Katherine struggled, but this game she came out big and got excited which elevated the team.” As the season is coming near its end Coach Crawford said the team has improved in playing better as a system, but they still need to work on unforced errors.
