Lady Badgers Sweep CNCC 85-58 and 80-41

RANGLEY, CO - The Snow College Lady Badgers took care of business on the weekend taking two games from Colorado Northwest Community College, 85-58 on Friday and 80-41 on Saturday. With the wins the Lady Badgers move into sole possession of 2nd place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) and setting up a showdown this weekend in Ephraim against first place College of Southern Idaho.

The Lady Badgers had five players in double figures on Friday and another three on Saturday. Freshman Linsey Hodgikiss had 15 on Friday and another 13 on Saturday, while Sophomore Amy Parkinson came back closer to home (she played at Uintah High School) and played solid basketball with 13 and 11.

"This was a good weekend for us in a lot of ways," said Coach Cindy Lindsay. "All of our kids got time and experience and we were able to rest everyone. We should be ready to go against CSI this weekend."

The College of Southern Idaho stands at 8-1 in conference while the Lady Badgers move to 7-2 and 16-8 overall. The two will tangle twice at the Snow College Gymnasium Friday at 5:30 and Saturday at 3:00. The first 1,500 fans to enter the arena will receive a free t-shirt as Snow College and APX Alarm Securities are sponsoring a "white out" night.
